Farrah declines futher treatment: Farrah Fawcett Cancer Update
Fawcett ends treatment as cancer progresses
Farrah Fawcett, has been in a long fight with the form of anal cancer since she was diagnosed with it in the year 2006. Her doctors had advised her to take a potentially risky and relatively intensive surgery whose main purpose was to remove a section of colon to prevent the spread of the disease. After much consideration, she had decided to attempt less invasive, natural alternative treatments outside of the United States.
While it cannot be said for certain whether or not this treatment helped or to what degree, an update on Farrah’s condition has been made public. What is now known is that her cancer has advanced and spread to other locations in her body, one of which is verified as being the liver. This is a serious situation, because the liver is responsible for cleaning our blood, which is constantly circulating through it; the implication here is that this may expedite the spread of the rouge cells as they are carried throughout the cardiovascular system.
For those who would like to delve deeply into the personal and experiential side of her disease, a television series has recently been released in the US entitled “Farrah’s Story,” which can be viewed on the NBC network. It is a shockingly real and documentary styled production which aims to help people understand what someone in her position goes through. Apparently because the disease has so advanced, she has ceased taking any form of treatment and is allowing her body to take its course.
Farrah Fawcett is best known for her role in the original “Charlie’s Angels” television series, and is now 62 years old.

It is so sad to see one of our American icons, Farrah Fawcett succumbing to the deadliest of diseases, cancer. Her bravery to battle it and courage to make her illness public so that it may help others says alot about her character. She is a beautiful, gentle and loving creature of God and I hope God grants her peace in her final days and that her pain will subside. We Love you Farrah!
I truly believed she would beat this and Im saddened that it appears she won’t.
Farrah has been a true star who handled the up and downs of fame with such grace, the same way she is dealing with this terrible disease.
I have loved and admired her since childhood.
I still can’t believe this has happened to her.
But I will continue to pray and hope for a miracle
I just really love her. Couldn’t they save her with a liver transplant? Is something like that possible? It makes me so terrible sad to see the news reports on her condition. Hoping for a miracle! We love you Farrah!
There is no god and this proves it.
I hate seeing her go though this. My mother died of breast cancer. Cancer… Made by Monsanto.
We are all saddened to see Farrah go through this. Our prayers are with you and your family. We continue to pray for a miracle and hope your pain is eased. We love you Farrah! God bless you! Joyce
I was born in 1973, she (along with Linda Carter) were my first crushes! It’s so sad! She is such a beautiful, strong, intelligent woman. I will pray for her.
After watching “Farrah’s Story”, gave me a true understanding of what people go thru with this deadly disease. I am sadden that this has happen to Farrah and to other people who has this disease. You are constantly on my mine and I pray for you. Just know that God is in control and he never makes a mistake. I will continue to pray for a miracle.
Love and Peace
If Farrah can get cancer anyone can yes? It’s time we all realize we’re not here for long. Live life to your fullest, do and SAY what you feel is in your heart. Don’t wait too long. Life is but a breath.

Just want to say how powerful her documentary has affected me.Just has gone through with my mother’s cancer and can only tell you how much this disease can change a person.Farrah has a tremendous amount of strenght i think about her everyday and i always have a lump in my heart. My only wish is that she’s surrounded with unselfish people with lots of love and please don’t forget to make her comfortable.I never met her but it’s like i’ve known her all my life.Lots of love and your a very beautiful person.Your true friend Solange,
Yes there is a God. God answers prayers and situations in different ways. Farrah has done her work her on earth and it is her time to go to God. God wants her. Maybe she can do more for others when she is in heaven. I have lost so many family members to cancer. I have had cancer myself. I am a survivor and very lucky and blessed. God must still have plans for me on earth. We were blessed to have Farrah as part of our lives, now let her go in peace with God, where she will be out of pain.
Dearest Farrah–
I attempted to send you a message earlier but there was an error and it didn’t go. My family are all praying for you. Please keep up your strength. Your TV story was so inspiring. My sister is a Cancer survivor, Thank God. Hoping your strengt and attitude to not give up will get you through this. When I got married many years ago I had a beautiful daughter we named Robin. She is now 44, married and has 2 beautiful daughters of her own. She has the same no give up attitude and is a strong person as you. When Robin was a teenager and young lady, she sported a long hairdo and when curled, she looked just like you. Come to find out many years later, we are related to your family. This is the connection–Myself and Ferrah Leni (Farrah) Fawcett had the same great-grandparents, (Lewis W. Burt and Ann E. Leatherwood.) They had a daughter (Sallie Burt) who married Arthur H. Fawcett. Their son James W. Fawcett and Pauline A. Evans were the parents of Farrah. Our families are praying for you and your wonderful family that God is watching over you will give you the strength and will not give up attitude that has inspired us all. God Bless You and thank you for your TV documentary (such a brave person you are) and know that we feel your paim. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell my story to you. Love Jane Burt Bedford
I also wanted to add to Farrah’s message that my Dad, Shelley Burt, Jr., had a brother, Floyd Burt that lived in Corpus Christi, Texas and owned Zarsky Lumber Company. We always called him Uncle Bud. He and my Mom and Dad have been in Heaven a long time and I miss them terribly. If this further comment cannot be added to my first message, I want to repeat how the two of us are related. Myself and Ferrah Leni (Farrah) Fawcett had the same grandparents (Lewis W. Burt and Ann E. Leatherwood). They had a daughter (Sallie Burt) who married Arthur H. Fawcett. Their son James W. Fawcett and Pauline A. Evans were the parents of Farrah. And life goes on. We are praying for you and your family. God makes all the decisions and I know He will make the right one for you. God Bless You. Jane Burt Bedford
