Actor Dennis Hopper Battling Prostate Cancer

Hospitalized earlier this month for flu symptoms, Dennis Hopper, in fact, is suffering from prostate cancer, his agent has told the media Thursday.

,The 73-year-old cult director of Easy Rider is forced to cancel his trips, especially in Melbourne (Australia) for an exhibition dedicated to him.

Friends of the actor said his fight against his illness is now his priority.
Hopper is currently a special program at the University of Southern California, but his manager refused to give details on the status of the star.

The actor has had to cancel his particular appearance at an exhibition entitled “Dennis Hopper and the New Hollywood,” held in Melbourne, Australia.

Dennis Hopper, still very active, had been hospitalized earlier this month in New York for dehydration.
