How to prevent a stroke has been made plain by McMaster researchers who have reported that ninety percent of the risk of stroke around the world dwindles down to ten factors. Smoking and high blood pressure are at the surface of the list of risk factors discovered by the Interstroke Study found online.

Dr. Kevin Willis, director of partnerships at the Canadian Stroke Network said it was very significant. He said it proves that high blood pressure is the prime driver of stroke risk not only in advanced countries but in under-advanced countries, as well. It shows there is an assortment of risk factors that are usual amongst every country of the world and various ethnic associations that combined could account for almost all the worldwide risk of stroke.
