Jane Fonda breast cancer update

A small cancerous tumor was detected in Jana Fonda’s breast following a routine exam a few weeks ago.

Fonda received a procedure a few days ago to remove the tumor, and the actress and fitness guru’s rep says she is now cancer free and “completely fine.”

Jane Fonda earned 2 Academy Awards for her acting, but she is also well-known for her 1980′s fitness empire that continues today.

Fonda has released more than 20 fitness videos between 1982 and 1995 and her first one, “Jane Fonda’s Workout”, has sold more than 17 million copies. Her new exercise videos cater to viewers above the age of 50 and are titled “Jane Fonda Prime Time: Walkout” and “Jane Fonda Prime Time: Fit & Strong”. The DVDs are set to be released on November 30.

Although she just had the procedure earlier this week, Fonda is already out promoting her latest fitness DVD and workout equipment.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women today (after lung cancer) and is the most common cancer among women, excluding nonmelanoma skin cancers.
