Breast Cancer In Men Not Uncommon

New York – Men too suffer from breast cancer, something many people often don’t realize.
October is breast cancer awareness month and many groups around the country are trying to raise awareness about breast cancer in men.
The American Cancer Society is doing their best to raise awareness of the disease with men.
They are working with what is called the Pink Tie Club to try to raise awareness.
The group hopes to dispel the myth that breast cancer is solely a woman’s disease.
The event will consist of a 5km walk to raise money for breast cancer.
The American Cancer Society estimated that in 2007 about 2,030 new cases of invasive breast cancer were in men.
