FDA Warns Diet Supplement Hydroxycut Not Safe
Jacksonville – FDA Warns Consumers to Stop Taking Hydroxycut Products, Hydroxycut a well known “weight loss formula” has been recalled by the US Government.
The Food and Drug Administration warns that the number one selling dietary supplement that is marketed as a fat burner and energy enhancer is linked to major reports of severe liver damage, jaundice and one reported death.
The company that produces Hydroxycut has voluntarily removed 14 of there products from stores nationwide. The FDA warns that any dieters or body builders who are utilizing Hydroxycut now, need to immediately stop usage and seek medical attention if you have any concerns.
Related symptoms reported are cardiovascular problems, seizures, and serious muscle damage that can cause kidney failure.
The company has always advertised that there product was made from all natural ingredients, and at this moment the FDA is still trying to figure out exactly which ingredient is in the products is harmful. They are also trying to gain as much knowledge as possible about whether it is one ingredient or a combination of certain ingredients to insure that any future threats can be avoided. The drug is marketed in the USA and 70 other countries across the globe and has been promoted by doctors and celebrities. A few of the listed ingredients are Green Tea, Garcinia, Cambogia, and Gymnema Sylvestre which are all natural products. A full list of ingredients has not been released at this time and the company is standing behind it’s product. Hydroxycut representative Jamie Moss says the company is issuing a statement on there website and stated that they do conduct an analysis on all of there products ingredients.
