Bigger Thighs Could Be Good For Your Health
Bigger Thighs = Longer Life
New research has emerged that tests a theory about oversized thighs prolonging life. Is it true? Researches have looked into the history of over 2,000 Danish adults over a period of 12 years and the results are staggering. Most of the research states that the risk of death increases significantly for an adult with a thigh measurement under 60 cm.
But, in a study group of almost 3,000 adults over a period of 10+ years, surprisingly, these studies held firm even with the adults who remained alive after the study was over. Not only had the survivors maintained a healthy lifestyle; no smoking, small amounts of drinking, and exercise; but had a thigh measurement of over 60 cm.
Researchers from the Danish Medical Research Council stated: [quote] “that insulin sensitivity may be lowered when the leg muscle is small or that the metabolism of glucose and fat is negatively affected by a lack of subcutaneous fat.”
So, from these results, can we safely assume that having “thunder thighs” will once again rear it’s head; despite it’s appearance? Only time, and research will tell.
